LIVE UPDATES: Vols clinch bowl game with win at Missouri

Tennessee takes on Missouri at 7:30 on the SEC Network.

The Vols visit Missouri Saturday night in Columbia with a chance to secure a bowl bid for the first time since 2016.

Tennessee is 5-5 on the season after starting the year 1-4. Missouri is also 5-5 but has lost four straight games.

UT will wear orange pants for the third time this season. The Vols are 4-0 in the orange pants since switching to Nike uniforms in 2015.

FINAL: TENNESSEE 24, MISSOURI 20

Jarrett Guarantano: 23-40, 415 yards, 2 TDs

Three Vols had over 100 yards receiving for the first time in school history (Jennings, Callaway, Palmer).

FOURTH QUARTER

Jarrett Guarantano finds Josh Palmer for a 33-yard gain and Guarantano has set a new career-high with 360 passing yards.

Tim Jordan fumbles in Missouri territory, Devin Nicholson forces it and Kobie Whiteside recovers for the Tigers at their own 28-yard line.

Tucker McCann kicks a 33-yard field to cut the Vols lead to four points.

THIRD QUARTER

Missouri goes three-and-out on the opening drive of the second half.

Jauan Jennings goes over 100 yards receiving on the night with a first down catch then Tim Jordan runs for 17 yards and the Vols are threatening.

Guarantano misses on a couple passes, the Vols try a 48-yard field goal and it's blocked for the second time tonight. Missouri takes over at its own 45-yard line.

Tigers convert a 4th-and-1 at the UT 18 with a pitch to Larry Rountree III.

Missouri scores on a double pass, wide receiver Micah Wilson to Tyler Badie for a 15-yard touchdown.

TENNESSEE 17, MISSOURI 17

Jarrett Guarantano goes over 300 yards passing with a 31-yard completion to Marquez Callaway to convert a third-and-long.

Missouri brings a blitz on 3rd-and-5 but Guarantano stands in tough and fires to the endzone where Callaway fights off a defender to make the touchdown catch despite a defensive pass interference call.

SECOND QUARTER

Guarantano finds Marquez Callaway to pick up a first down on 3rd-and-8, setting up the Vols with a first-and-goal.

Quavaris Crouch scores on a 1-yard touchdown on third down to put the Vols in front.

TENNESSEE 7, MISSOURI 3

Tyler Badie scores on a seven-yard pass from Kelly Bryant to put Missouri back in front. That's the Tigers first touchdown in 33 drives and ten quarters. 

MISSOURI 10, TENNESSEE 7

The Vols and Missouri trade three-and-outs midway through the second quarter.

Brian Maurer enters at quarterback in the middle of a Vols drive and throws an imcomplete pass to Callaway, who takes a shot to the ribs and remained down on the field for a couple minutes before going to the sideline. He returned to the game a couple plays later.

The Vols convert a 3rd-and-18 on a Guarantano pass to Jennings.

Jennings breaks three tackles and scores a 16-yard touchdown on a pass from Guarantano to beat a blitz on 3rd-and-5.

TENNESSEE 14, MISSOURI 10

Guarantano is 11-20 passing for 199 yards and two touchdowns.

The Vols go on a quick four-play, 66-yard drive in 38 seconds to close the first half with a 27-yard field goal.

TENNESSEE 17, MISSOURI 10

FIRST QUARTER

Guarantano starts at quarterback and the Vols pick up a first down on a Missouri penalty but don't gain any yardage on the opening drive of the game. The Vols punt to Missouri.

Missouri marches down the field thanks in part to a 23-yard pass play to a wide open Barrett Banister and takes the lead on a 30-yard Tucker McCann field goal.

MISSOURI 3, TENNESSEE 0

Guarantano hits Josh Palmer on a 27-yard pass to move the Vols into the red zone.

Missouri blocks a 34-yard Brent Cimaglia field goal attempt. Only the third miss of the season for Cimaglia.

Vols defensive lineman Aubrey Solomon is out for the game with a head injury according to the SEC Network broadcast.

Guarantano hooks up with Jauan Jennings for a 51-yard gain down to the Mizzou 24-yard line. That reception makes Jennings the eighth Vol to reach 2,000 career receiving yards.

PREGAME

Jarrett Guarantano will start at quarterback, Jeremy Pruitt tells the Vol Network. Guarantano hasn't started since the Florida game in September but has played in all seven games since then.
