KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — Bargain hunters had miles and miles of deals to go through Friday in North Knox County.
The 9 Mile Yard Sale is a community yard sale with dozens of neighbors and a few churches participating.
The neighborhoods along Ridgeview Road opened their mile yard sale, running nine miles from one end of Tazewell Pike across Ridgeview Road.
Everything is up for sale, from kid's clothes to furniture, even specialty items like baseball cards.
For shoppers, it was a great way to find hidden bargains.
"We have people from everywhere," June Davis, a resident, said. "We have people from Kentucky, people from everywhere they come from all over, they plan on doing it every year."
"It's a blessing to me," Jeannie Malone, from Newport, said. "I love to go to yard sales like I was going to the mall. I sure would."
Malone said the only bad part about Friday was the rain.
The shoppers can try again on Saturday for day two of the 9 Mile Yard Sale. It starts at 8 a.m. along Ridgeview Road in the Corryton area.
