COCKE COUNTY, Tenn — Editor's Note: Sheriff C.J. Ball issued a correction on May 4, saying foul play was not believed to have been involved in the death of a 26-year-old woman. He said the initial release left out the word "not" by accident. This story has been edited to reflect the correction.
The Cocke County Sheriff's Department gave an update on a woman's body that was found in Del Rio in early March.
Twenty-six-year-old Michella Day was found about 15 feet down an embankment off Punkton Road, according to Sheriff C.J. Ball. Day is originally from California but had an "established residence" in Hamblen County.
Sheriff Ball said CCSO believes foul play was not involved in Day's death.
CCSO said they are waiting on the toxicology report to confirm the cause of death which will finish the autopsy report.
