KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Believe it or not, the holiday season is right around the corner, which means it's time to start decking the halls and getting ready for Santa Claus to visit once again.
Get those gloves ready and make yourself some hot chocolate while you're at it.

Anderson County
Museum of Appalachia Candlelight Christmas: Friday, Dec. 9 and Saturday, Dec. 10 at 2819 Andersonville Highway On Dec. 8, the Museum of Appalachia announced both days of this year's Candlelight Christmas had to be canceled due to flooding concerns after a week of constant rain. People who purchased tickets can still use those at 2023 events, including Sheep Shearing Days, the July 4 Anvil Shoot, or next year's Candlelight Christmas: "Should neither of those options work for you, please e-mail us at museum@museumofappalachia.org or call us at 865-494-7680 to request a refund. We thank you in advance for your patience during this time of high communications volume with our team."

Lighting the Community Tree: Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. on South Main Street near the County Courthouse lawn in Greeneville. The Tusculum View Chorus will also present its Christmas program at 5:45 p.m. and Santa is expected to make an appearance.
