KNOXVILLE, Tennessee — The FBI and KPD are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information in the recent shooting deaths of Stanley Freeman Jr. and Janaria Muhammad.

KPD Chief Eve Thomas said they hope the reward will motivate someone who knows something about the teens' deaths to come forward.

"We need those with information to summon the courage to come forward,' Thomas said.

No one has been charged in the teens' shooting deaths at this time.

Officials did not announce any new details about either case.

No matter how insignificant information might seem, Thomas said it could be the final piece in solving who shot the teens.

Those with information may contact KPD at 865-215-7212 or you may email violentcrimes@knoxvilletn.gov.

Freeman Jr. was killed eighteen days ago, and Muhammad was killed 14 days ago.

No one has come forward to volunteer information to investigators regarding either case.

Anonymous tips will remain anonymous, KPD said.
