THP: I-75 northbound lanes back open after FedEx tractor-trailer crash

On Interstate 75 northbound in Anderson County, authorities were working a crash involving an overturned truck at mile marker 128.

ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn — UPDATE 1:30: The northbound lanes of Interstate 75 near Rocky Top in Anderson County were back open Wednesday afternoon after a FedEx tractor-trailer overturned, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

A trooper continued to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash. There were injuries in the crash, according to THP Lt. Stacey Heatherly.

PREVIOUS: The northbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Anderson County near mile marker 128 were shut down Wednesday morning because of a crash involving a Fed Ex truck.

The crash near Rocky Top was reported about 8:40 a.m., according to TDOT.

An ambulance was on the scene. Traffic was being shifted around the crash.

No further details were available.

The vehicle appeared to have gone into the median and flipped.
