KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Taking out the trash at home can feel like a lot of work. Just imagine what it would be like to throw away 1,182 trash bags filled with litter.
Keep Morgan County Beautiful said that they collected more than 3,000 pounds of litter between December and January, according to a post on their Facebook page. Most of the litter came off of the county roadways. The bags held 33 gallons worth of litter.
The group was made as a community-wide litter prevention program and an educational tool, according to their Facebook page. It routinely picks up roadside trash to make Morgan County litter-free.
