New event in Pigeon Forge attracts winter outdoor enthusiasts

Smoky Mountain Winter Experience is free to attend.

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — Visiting the Great Smoky Mountains during the winter will give you a vastly different experience than a summer or fall trip. That's why representatives with the City of Pigeon Forge decided to create an event for winter outdoor enthusiasts.

The Smoky Mountain Winter Experience runs Jan. 27 - 29, 2020 at The Ramsey Hotel and Convention Center in Pigeon Forge.

The free event includes several lectures on everything from the history of Cades Cove to how to take the perfect nature photograph. There are also scheduled excursions to places like Cove Mountain, Old Sugarlands, and more.
