ATHENS, Tenn — An unknown person in Athens, Tennessee has been opening fire hydrants around town over the past week, according to the Athens Utilities Board.
AUB has a scheduled fire hydrant flushing on Oct. 25, but they say this is an act of vandalism.
AUB says that these incidents are wasting water for local residents. They encourage people who may know something to contact them or the Athens Police Department.
