World's Smallest Shoe Store in Gatlinburg raises money for Friends of the Smokies

The makers of Keen shoes made three of the boxes to give back to the community.

GATLINBURG, Tenn. — A trip to Ober Gatlinburg now offers the opportunity to visit one of the World's Smallest Shoe Stores to help out a great cause.

The yellow box in the Tramway Mall is actually a vending machine where you can buy a pair of KEEN shoes. You just measure your feet, put in a credit card, and you can walk away with your new kicks!

The makers of the popular outdoor brand made three of the boxes to give back to the community. One raises money for Yellowstone, one helps a forest in Michigan. And this one benefits the Friends of the Smokies.

"There's is not a better charity that benefits our national park than the Friends of the Smokies and it was very logical commitment for us to make," said Margie Pearson of Ober Gatlinburg.

The shoes cost $100 a pair, and half of that will go to Friends of the Smokies.
