Former Tennessee Vol Josh Dobbs, who now plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers, honored Girls Inc., TNV during Sunday night's game against the New England Patriots.
The team holds an initiative called #MyCauseMyCleats and his cause was Girls Inc. of the Tennessee Valley.
He tweeted before the game that he was excited to honor the non-profit for inspiring this generation and future generations of girls to be "Strong, Smart, and Bold".
Girls Inc. offers programs that give girls of all ages the opportunity to lead and see themselves as change agents in the community.
Girls Inc. of TN Valley is a local affiliate that began in 1976 and has grown to become an integral part of the community. Its goal is to teach girls how to advocate for themselves and their communities while building self-confidence, expanding their horizons and preparing girls of today to become women of tomorrow!
