Knoxville — After 25 years of boot-scootin', the Cotton Eyed Joe is getting a facelift.
The renovations include new flooring, dance floors, lighting and pool tables, with more improvements to come.
According to press release, the county nightclub will have updated restrooms and a permanent stage, in efforts enhance the club's concert experience.
Knoxville real estate investor Chuck Ward bought the club in 2017. Since the change in ownership, the Academy of Country Music has awarded the club an Industry Award for "Nightclub of the Year."
Other updates to the visitor experience include valet parking and new food options.
In addition to hosting a consistent schedule of notable country performances, the nightclub offers free dance lessons twice a week.
The Cotton Eyed Joe covers 25,000 square feet and includes a 2,500 square foot dance floor.
