A vehicle that smashed into the security barrier at the White House on Friday appears to be from Rutherford County, Tennessee.

Photos of the vehicle posted by NBC clearly show Rutherford County plates.

The White House was put on lock-down after the incident round 3:30 p.m., the Secret Service confirmed in a series of tweets.

Rutherford County Sheriff Michael Fitzhugh had not been informed of the incident.

The vehicle "did not breach the security barrier of the White House complex." No shots were fired during the incident, the Secret Service says.

The agency adds that the female driver of the vehicle was "immediately apprehended."

The Associated Press reports that President Donald Trump is hosting Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull at the White House. Turnbull is remaining at the White House as the incident is being investigated.

The Secret Service says no law enforcement personnel were injured in the incident.
