Editors Note: This article has been corrected to reflect times in Eastern Standard Time. The original report said the outage would begin at 12 a.m. Saturday but it is actually 12 a.m. Sunday (11 p.m. Saturday CST).

SNAP EBT card users in Tennessee will not be able to use their benefits for part of the coming weekend.

The State's Department of Human Services said EBT services will be down Sunday morning as it switches vendors and upgrades the system.

The outage will begin 12 a.m. Sunday (11 p.m. CST Saturday) and last until 9 a.m. Sunday EST. TDHS said people making purchases with EBT cards should be prepared to purchase food and all other daily needs before Sunday, as cards will stop functioning during the upgrade.

Cards will be functional again at 9:01 a.m. EST Sunday.

Anyone with questions should call EBT Customer Service at 1-888-997-9444.
