Police: Meth found in Kentucky man's cowboy boot, man arrested

Bell County Sheriff's Department arrested a 45-year-old man after deputies found what looked like meth in the man's cowboy boot.

Bell County Sheriff's Department arrested a 45-year-old man from Middlesboro, Ky. after deputies found a bag of meth in the man's cowboy boot on Thursday.

Deputies pulled over Charles Garren's vehicle as it had no tags. Garren also did not have his license on him because it was revoked, according to Bell County authorities.

According to a press release from Bell County Sheriff's Dept., Garren appeared to act very nervous when the deputy asked if anything illegal was in the man's car. The deputy asked if he could search Garren's vehicle. Garren consented to the search.

The deputy saw Garren appeared to be "walking funny." When the deputy shined a light on Garren's right cowboy boot, he saw there a piece of a plastic bag hanging outside the boot. The deputy said it looked like methamphetamine.

Another bag of meth was found on Garren's left boot.

Two large bags of syringes were also found in Garren's center console.

Garren was arrested and charged. He is being held on a $5,000 bond in the Bell County Detention Center.
