KPD investigating after break-in at Remedy Coffee in North Knoxville

This is the second North Knoxville Coffee shop that was broken into this week.

Remedy Coffee was broken into Thursday, making it the second North Knoxville coffee shop broken into this week.

Store manager Taylor Kress said the burglar smashed through the side entrance of the shop early this morning.

"We're just happy to be back up running and serving coffee," said Kress. "It didn't really affect us that much...It took us a few hours to clean everything up and set up everything and start serving coffee, but that's pretty much it."

COFFEE SHOP BREAK-INS: K Brew coffee shop broken into for third time in less than a month

Remedy Coffee opened a little later than usual Thursday morning because of the clean up.

K Brew, about five blocks away from Remedy, reported a similar burglary Wednesday.

KPD said they are investigating 7 incidents around the Broadway area, and said they do have a person of interest they are looking for.

That person's identity has not yet been released.

Patrols in the area have increased and will continue.
