A man died in East Knoxville after being shot at some point Wednesday night.
The Knoxville Police Department said they responded to a call involving an injured man lying in the intersection of Lay Avenue and South Beaman Street.
When officers arrived, they found a man dead with gunshot wound. Police have not identified the victim.
KPD is investigating the incident and is asking anyone with information or tips to call the KPD Crime and Drug Hotline at (865) 215-7212. KPD said tips can be left anonymously.
